Center Program for Children with Physical Disabilities

The Center Program for Students with Physical Disabilities provides students with acute physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in a supported inclusion setting in the general education class with peers and adult support as needed. We are proud to be part an integral part of Bromwell since 1992. Our program students participate in all classroom activities to the best of their ability; including field trips, special school-wide events, Art, Music, Dance, Library/Media, and daily PE.

Students receive resource room services, general education classroom assistance, personal care assistance, and speech, physical, and occupational therapies as determined by their IEPs. Our staff is fully trained to meet the personal and educational needs of our students. We also have a wide range of and Assistive technology. This can range from augmentative communication devices, computer software, and specialized keyboards, to custom pencil grips, book stands, and scissors.

Bromwell is fully accessible to wheelchairs, including the playground and some of its equipment. Students are placed at Bromwell by the DPS Department of Student Services. Transportation is provided by the district.

The Bromwell community, including students, teachers, parents, and staff provide a safe, supportive, and genuinely caring environment for the PD Center program students.
