Grade 5 Supply List

These are the items you will need this year for fifth grade. They are for our class and may vary slightly from the other fifth grade class. However, the list does include all the things you'll need for science and social studies as well as our homeroom. I may collect some items and keep them in a separate location until needed, such as sticky notes, but putting your name on the outside of your supplies is a good idea.

#2 pencils
A small, non-electri pencil sharpener
2 dry erase markers
Thin markers and/or colored pencils
Ruler (standard and Metric)
Glue stick
Clipboard
2 pkgs. of wide-line looseleaf paper
2 wide-line spiral notebooks (wihtout perforated pages)
2 Composition notebooks (not spiral bound)
Highlighting marker
Sticky notes (2-3 pads of 3" x 3" squares)
Personal-sized dry erase board & rag from home for eraser
Separate eraser for those BIG mistakes
Scissors
White glue
Clear tape
Plastic shoe-box-sized box with lid
4 sturdy pocket folders
4 additional plain pocket folders (no design on the front)with brads (the plastic ones are best)
3 boxes of facial tissue

These other items are optional, but helpful:

Disposable camera
Roll of paper towels
band-aids
Box of zip lock bags (various sizes needed)

1 package of cryaons and/or colored pencils

Three-ring binder (2 1/2 to 3 inches wide) of trapper keeper
7-10 single subjects, college-ruled, three-holed spiral notebooks
College-ruled three-holed notebook paper
8 pocketed paper folders with three-ring prongs
3 boxes of tissue
2 rolls of Scotch tape
Sticky notes as needed - 3" x 3" and 1-3/8' x 1-7/8"
Plastic pencil box for desk
Backpack
One-use flash camera
Plastic tub - no larger than 17" x 12" and 7" deep (lid optional)
Calculator
Personal-sized dry erase board (about 12" x 10")
Good study skills
Sense of humor and enthusiasm

Optional for whole class use: extra box of markers, extra scissors, extra rulers, extra glue sticks
