ALL ABOUT ME
We want to know all about you! For this project, you will tell us about yourself in six different ways.
You may display this project in any format. It can be in a folder, on a poster board, in a booklet, or even on the front of a t-shirt! Each of the six sections should be clearly divided and marked. Please follow the directions exactly for each section, as show below:
1. Knowledge:
Tell us your name, address, phone number, age and birthday. Tell us the names and ages of the people and pets in your family, too.
2. Comprehension:
Describe your physical characteristics (height, weight, hair color, and more). Describe the characteristics of your personality (such as your likes and dislikes, habits, hobbies, and so on).
3. Application:
Make a collage about yourself, using artwork or photographs. In fact, use objects or anything visual that will help us know you better. Show us your favorite activities, objects, clothes, animals, places, or people!
4. Analysis:
List three ways that you are similar to most children your age. List three ways that you are different.
5. Synthesis:
Write a short story about yourself. It can be factual or entirely made up, just so it tells us about you.
6. Evaluation:
Choose three things that are the best things about you. Choose, as well, one thing that you would like to change in your life.
You will be asked to present your project to the class.
Grading rubric:
This project is worth 25 points. Meeting the technical requirements (that is, specifically following the directions) earns up to five points. The quality of information (the more interesting, the better) earns up to five points. The product’s overall appearance earns up to five points. The quality of writing in the short story earns up to five points. Finally, the presentation before the class earns up to five points.
The grading scale is as follows: 23 - 25 points = A, 20 - 22 points = B, 18 - 19 points = C, 15 - 17 points = D.
