Mothers Club Constitution and Bylaws

THE CONSTITUTION OF
THE HARMAN KINDERGARTEN CLUB
1898

Section I. The name of this association shall be the Harman Kindergarten Mothers Association.

Section II. The object of the Association shall be the promotion of Kindergarten work and the social improvement of its members.

Section III. The officers shall be President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Clause I. Five members shall constitute a quorum.

Section IV. The Program Committee, appointed every meeting,shall have the privilege to invite one persons each to the next meeting.

Section V. All mothers of Kindergarteners are entitled to memebership by paying one cent per week and donating a cake or its equivalent during the school year.

Section VI. Any person may become a member by paying ten cents admission fee, and complying with the rules governing this Association.

Section VII. Roberts Rules of Order shall govern this Association in questions of parlimentary law.

Clause II. Amendments to Constitution bylaws. Rules of order can be amended at any regular meeting by a two thirds vote of members present, provided the amendment was submitted at the previous meeting.



COLUMBINE MOTHERS CLUB CONSTITUTION
Revised October 5th, 1989

ARTICLE I. Name and Object
Section 1. This organization shall be called the Columbine Mothers Club.
Section 2. The object of this Club shall be to cultivate the social and intellectual growth of its members.
Section 3. This Constitution shall be read at a regular meeting at least once a year.

ARTICLE II. Membership
Section 1. There shall be three classes of membership:

a. Active - those paying dues and attending meetings.
b. Inactive - those who have been members for at least 15 years but who cannot attend meetings for physical or transportation reasons. They shall receive yearbooks, but will pay no dues.
c. Asociate - those who have not been members for 15 years and who cannot attend meetings for various reasons. An Associate member shall be dropped from the Club at the expiration of 2 years.
ARTICLE III. Officers
Section 1. The Officers of this Club shall be President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Historian.
Section 2. These Officers shall be elected at the April meeting of the Club and installed in May. They shall take office at the close of the Annual Meeting in May.
A nominating committee of three shall be elected in March to prepare and present a slate of Officers at the April meeting.

ARTICLE IV. Duties of Officers
Section 1. The President shall advance the interests of the Club, preside at all meetings, be a member ex-officia of all committees except the nominating committee, authorize all calls for special meetings which she deems...

COLUMBINE MOTHERS CLUB BYLAWS
Revised October 5th, 1989

Article I. Meetings
Section 1. The regular meeting of the club shall be held at 1 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month, September through May inclusive, subject to temporary change.

Article II. Dues
Section 1. The dues for active members shall be $5.00 per year and payable Spetember 1. Members joining after January 1 shall pay $2.50 for the remaining months of the year.

Article III. Chairmen
Section 1. The Chairmen shall be: Program, Courtesy, and Membership.

Article IV. Duties of Chairmen
Section 1. Program - it shall be the duty of the hostess to prepare and arrange the program of eahc meeting.
Section 2. Courtesy - it shall be the duty of the Courtesy Chairman to make calls and send cards.
Section 3. Membership - it shall be the duty of the Membership Chairman to recruit new members and present guests and prospective members to the club at a regular metting.

Article V. Rules of Order
The business of this club shall be conducted according to Roberts Rules of Order, Newly revised, when not otherwise provided.

Article VI. Amendments
This constitution and bylaws may be amended at any regular meeting of the club by a two-thirds vote of members present and voting, the proposed amendment having been presented at a regular meeting one month previous.
