We’re getting close to the first day of school! Here are this week’s important updates, action items and upcoming dates.
📣 This Week at Bromwell
Online Registration is Open
Online registration is now open! All returning families must complete this annual process to review and update student and family information, including emergency contacts and health information.
Please complete online registration before Monday, August 24.
To Register Online:
Sign in to the DPS Parent Portal.
Click “See All Apps.”
Click “Online Registration.”
Review or update your student’s information and submit.
Please note: Online registration can only be completed by the parent or guardian listed in the primary household on the student’s record.
Need a Parent Portal Account?
Visit the DPS Parent Portal and select “Create a Parent Account.” You will need your student’s ID number. If you don’t know it, use the Student ID Retrieval Tool or contact the Bromwell Front Office.
Homeroom Assignments
Homeroom assignments will be available in the Parent Portal by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19.
Homeroom teachers will then share a welcome letter with students and families.
A Message from the Health Office
If your child takes a daily medication at school or has an emergency/as-needed medication, please review this important message from the Bromwell Health Office about required documentation and medication drop-off procedures.
Submitting Attendance Online
Families can report a student who will be absent, arriving late or leaving early through the DPS Parent Portal.
Fall Discovery Link & Staff Enrichments
Registration for Fall Discovery Link Enrichments opens Wednesday, August 19 at 6:00 a.m. and closes Wednesday, September 2 at 10:00 p.m.
The fall session runs September 14–November 20, with any needed make-up classes held the week of November 30.

An adults-only session covering important logistics and what families can expect this year.

2:30–3:00 p.m. | Bromwell Playground & Blacktop
Come say hello to your new teacher and enjoy some lemonade before the first day of school! Please bring a reusable water bottle if you can!
Monday, August 24 — First Day of School: Kindergarten–5th Grade

Students should enter through the cafeteria door on the blacktop.
Water Bottles & Snacks
Please send your child with a full water bottle and snack each day.
School Lunch
Students may bring lunch from home or enjoy a free school lunch.
Bromwell Calendar
Bromwell has four additional no-school Data Dig Days that are not included on the standard DPS calendar.

🐻 Bromwell PTA
New Bromwell Tees Are Here!
Fun, new Bromwell tees are available in soft BELLA+CANVAS styles for youth and adults.
Orders close Friday, September 4 at 11:59 p.m. Delivery is expected approximately 3-4 weeks later.
All proceeds support Bromwell through the PTA Grant.

From Movie Night and the Fun Run to Multicultural Celebration Night, the Auction, Let’s Build Bromwell and staff appreciation, the PTA helps bring nearly 50 events, programs and community-building efforts to life each year.
We’d love some help with:
Room Parents — Help support your child’s classroom, share PTA updates and build connections among families.
Photographers — Help capture Bromwell events throughout the year. We are especially looking for someone with a camera drone for an event on September 18 or 21.
