We are so excited to welcome you and your student(s) to Bromwell Elementary for our next school year! Our whole team is excited to meet you and make your student’s elementary years as enjoyable and educational as possible.
We are sure you have lots of questions. We are working on offering Open Houses throughout the month of May so you can have a chance to see the school if you weren’t able to tour. We will send out another email once those details are. We also have a great website with lots of answers.
We would also like to give the opportunity to meet other Bromwell parents/guardians and staff members at our Bromwell Party & Auction on April 13th. It’s a fun event that brings the community together! We’d love it if you can join us, you can see more about the party purchase tickets here.
Now, some details about the upcoming school year:
First Day of School : Monday, August 19th, 2024
School Day: runs from 7:40-2:40 for the 2024-2025 School Year. We do have bus service for those who are in the boundary, and also have Kiss N Go, bikers, and walkers. If you need to utilize Discovery Link, please click here for more information.
School Day Schedule and Lunch: Students may bring a lunch from home or purchase a hot lunch. As we get closer to school starting, your child’s teacher will communicate their daily schedule including details about recesses, snacks required, etc. Every student is encouraged to bring a clean water bottle each day.
School Supplies: You can take this off your list now by ordering school supplies directly from 1st Day School Supplies.
School Handbook: There are many informational resources including our School Handbook posted on our website under Parent Resources.
School Calendar: Bromwell follows the standard DPS calendar with a few extra Data Dig days for staff to meet and develop individualized learning plans. We are working to solidify those days in the coming weeks and will add to the school calendar posted on our Bromwell website ASAP. In the meantime, here is the DPS calendar for next school year.
What’s Next
If your student is new to DPS, please complete our Pre-Enrollment Form and bring copies of your child’s birth certificate, address verification. You will also need to complete registration packets, you can pick one up from the front office or they will be provided at the Open House.
