Bromwell Bulletin
Please check the Lost and Found, we are overflowing with items!
Anything not picked up by 12/20 at 3pm will be donated
Here are some photos of what is currently there in case you recognize anything
As we approach the holiday season we would like to continue a longstanding Bromwell tradition. This season we embrace the spirit of giving to members of our school community in need. Thank you so much for any contribution; every bit counts, and it is greatly appreciated.
These generous gifts will provide food, transportation, warmth and comfort to families. The sign up has recommended monetary amounts but feel free to contribute as much or as little as you are able this holiday season.
Girls on the Run!
The Bromwell Girls on the Run team at Bromwell is in need of at least one additional volunteer coach. You do not need to be a runner. Help empower 3rd-5th grade girls and inspire them to honor their voices, embrace their gifts and celebrate their strengths. The more coaches we have, the more girls that can participate in this amazing program! All coaches must:
If you are interested in coaching or have any questions, please email site coordinator Nirai Hirokawa at nihi1366@gmail.com . To learn more about GOTR, visit www.girlsontherunrockies.org or www.espanol.girlsontherunrockies.org

ONLY 19 DAYS LEFT TO HELP SUPPORT BROMWELL AND OUR LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS!
Shop at Modern Family and 5% comes back to Bromwell!
Modern Bungalow, a Bromwell Family owned business, will donate 5% of any purchase to Bromwell Elementary. Yes, both online (modernbungalow.com) or in store (1028 S. Gaylord st. Denver 80218). Just put a note or say “Bromwell” at time of purchase. Anytime between now and the end of the year.
Get a new roof from Formula Roofing and they’ll donate to Bromwell PTA!
We’ve partnered with Formula Roofing (shout-out to Nick Dillen, their Operations Manager, and Bromwell dad of two!), who is generously donating $500 per roof back to Bromwell PTA — and they’ve already given us $6500 this year! If we can send them an additional 5 families that need new roofs before the end of 2024, they’ll donate a bonus $1,000, potentially bringing this year’s total to $10,000!! Just contact Formula Roofing and mention ‘Bromwell’. Share with local friends and family! And see a fun picture of the Formula Roofing team with the Bromwell Bear and PTA board members attached and HERE. 🙂
Ongoing Reminders
Please remember that any parent/guardian entering the building at any time must always go through the front doors of the school and check in at the office.
Weather Reminders
With the change in weather, please send you children with layers and rain jackets as needed. As snow starts to come, please send snow boots and snow pants. Please make sure to label your students gear so if it ends up in the Lost and Found, we can get it returned to the correct owner. We want our Bears to enjoy outdoor recess as much as possible!
Looking for something to do during your lunch break? Come volunteer during our lunch/recess times! When you arrive, check in at the front office, grab an orange vest, and then make the rounds in the lunchroom to help kids open things, stay focused on eating (save the sillies for outside!). Outside, you might get asked to push a kid on a swing, referee a game, or have an existential conversation. Here are the times:
ECE & Kinder: 10:45 – 11:35
First & Second: 11:10 – 11:55
Fourth: 11:30 – 12:15
Third & Fifth: 11:40 – 12:35
School Choice Round 1 Opens January 15th!
The DPS Choice process opens 1/15 and closes on 2/18 with results typically released before Spring Break. If you are a current ECE family, or a family that already has a student at Bromwell looking to enroll a sibling and not in the boundary, you will need to do the school choice application for Bromwell. We do prioritize siblings of existing students, but we do not have control over how the DPS Choice Office algorithm assigns students to school(s) or their waitlist number.
If you have additional choice or enrollment questions, you can reach out to Lexie Krohn Parker in the front office, alexis_krohn-parker@dpsk12.net or 720-424-9330.
