Bromwell Bulletin 09/18/25

When Should a Child Stay Home Due to Illness

Evaluation of a sick child must consider which diseases are currently circulating among students, staff, and the community. Examples of when a child should remain home include having a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting.  Children need to be symptom-free for 24 hours without any medications prior to returning to school.  You can see the full list of “How Sick is Too Sick” and always call the health office to ask Nurse Brooke if you are uncertain.

There have been updates to the Discovery Link and Little Links processes, specifically around the following: invoicing, schedule changes, and drop-ins.  You can find the details HERE.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Meghan O’Connor, the Bromwell Program Supervisor.

Announcements:

Have something to share with the Bromwell community? We’re working on creating a digital space for community postings, but in the meantime, the PTA has set up a community bulletin board in the front lobby. This space is open for community use—whether you’re selling a bunk bed, offering your services, or sharing other neighborhood news. Just thumbtack your flyer or note to the board to spread the word!  Let’s continue to stay connected and support one another!

Bromwell “Buy Nothing” Facebook Group

Do you have outgrown Halloween costumes, soccer cleats (or other gear) your kids no longer need? Share them with the Bromwell community!  Join the Bromwell Buy Nothing page, read the guidelines, and pass along your preloved items to other Bromwell families.  Buy Nothing Facebook Page – HERE

Save Your Longmont Dairy Milk Caps!
For families who get milk delivered from Longmont Dairy, please save your yellow caps and bring them to school for our collection.

Each milk cap we collect earns Bromwell money!

You’ll find the collection bin in the school lobby — just look for the cow spots!

Ongoing Reminders

Please complete the You Benefit Application!

Your Benefit! application helps families and your school. By applying, your child’s school can receive additional funding. In addition, your child’s school fees may be waived or reduced. These include athletic fees, ACT, SAT, course fees, and activity and field trip fees tied to the curriculum.

All families are still strongly encouraged to complete the Your Benefit! application as the information determines critical funding for Bromwell and DPS, regardless of qualification.

Volunteers are what make the Bromwell community so amazing!  We’ve had some changes to lunch/recess times this year, but we would still love to see adults helping out our team:

ECE & Kinder – 10:50-11:45

1st – 11:15-12:00

2nd – 11:35-12:20

3rd & 4th – 12:00-12:45
