Weather Reminder

As the weather turns colder, please remember to dress your child in appropriate layers for outdoor play. We live in Colorado, where the weather can change quickly and unexpectedly, so having extra layers on hand is especially important. We will continue to take students outside for recess as much as possible to enjoy fresh air and movement, so warm coats, hats, gloves, and boots are essential.

For drop-off and pick-up, we will continue to line up and dismiss outside whenever possible, even during inclement weather. Please plan to dress accordingly for the weather during these times.

As winter approaches, we encourage students to bring their winter gear, boots, snow pants, hats, and gloves in a reusable grocery bag. This helps keep everything organized and easily accessible throughout the day.

Thank you for helping us keep students comfortable, safe, and engaged throughout the entire season.

When Should a Child Stay Home Due to Illness

Evaluation of a sick child must consider which diseases are currently circulating among students, staff, and the community. Examples of when a child should remain home include having a fever, diarrhea, or vomiting.  Children must be symptom-free for 24 hours without medication prior to returning to school.  You can see the complete list of “How Sick is Too Sick” and always call the health office to ask Nurse Brooke if you are uncertain.

There have been updates to the Discovery Link and Little Links processes, specifically regarding invoicing, schedule changes, and drop-ins.  You can find the details HERE.  If you have any questions, please contact Meghan O’Connor, the Bromwell Program Supervisor.

Ongoing Reminders

Please complete the You Benefit Application!

Your Benefit! Application helps families and your school. By applying, your child’s school can receive additional funding. In addition, your child’s school fees may be waived or reduced. These include athletic fees, ACT/SAT fees, course fees, activity and field trip fees tied to the curriculum.

We strongly encourage all families to complete the Your Benefit! Application. This information determines critical funding for Bromwell and DPS, regardless of qualification.

Volunteers are what make the Bromwell community so amazing!  We’ve had some changes to lunch/recess times this year, but we would still love to see adults helping out our team:
