| As our Bromwell families process the events that took place on-campus yesterday, we want to re-share some helpful information regarding lockdowns and discussing events when they occur with students. Please find additional resources HERE. Important Upcoming Dates: October 5 – Deadline to order Bromwell Gear! October 6 @ 3PM – Brothers BBQ Order Deadline October 7 @ 6PM – MOVIE NIGHT! October 9 @ 9-11AM – Campus Beautification Day October 11 @ 6PM – DPS Black Family Advisory Council Meeting (via Zoom) October 11 @ 7:30PM – October PTA Meeting (via Zoom) October 13-17 – FALL BREAK – NO SCHOOL October 18 – DINE OUT @ Mici October 18 @ 4:30PM – October CSC Meeting (at Bromwell & Virtually) October 19, 20 – Fall Conferences COUNT DAY – DPS’ official “count day” is this coming Monday, October 3rd. The number of students we have enrolled will have attendance counted on Monday. For those that are new to Bromwell, Denver Public Schools are funding on a “per student” basis; that means the number of students we have enrolled AND attending school, directly affects the funding we receive from the district. MOVIE NIGHT REMINDER – Movie night is a wonderful Bromwell tradition, and we are so excited come together as a community again this year! We truly hope to see everyone there, next Friday October 7th! Please find additional info in the flyer attached. CAMPUS CLEAN-UP – Come and help keep our campus looking beautiful, and help us clean up after movie night. Adults and kids are welcome. We will have some prizes and treats for our younger helpers. This will be a fun, community event! If you can’t make it in person, please feel free to donate supplies. RSVP and sign-up HERE. WALK & ROLL TO SCHOOL DAY – Mark your calendars! Grab your sneakers, hop on your scooter, or dust off your bike; on October 12th, our Bromwell community will be celebrating National Walk & Roll to school day! Our very own Nurse Brooke is a little bit of the biking legend and is helping organize this amazing event. Starting at 7:30AM, there will be activities for both students and adults: biking obstacle course, free tune-ups, e-bike demos, bike education, coffee & breakfast snacks, and prizes! We will even have Councilmember Chris Hinds at school to help direct riders, walkers, and any stray cars. More than 20 DPS schools will be participating in this event. Together we can reduce emissions and create a healthier community. More details to come!!! OCTOBER PTA MEETING – Please join us virtually on October 11 @ 7:30PM! If you are in need of interpretation, please email Erin (bromwellpta@gmail.com) before Tuesday, Oct 4th. Meeting Topics will include: Discussion and approval of Think360 music program funding (all attendees can share feedback and current members will vote.) Pay your dues today!
