We wanted to share an exciting staff update! Next week, Mrs. McEndree will transition to supporting small group instruction. We are so excited to have Mr. Chuck, a regular guest teacher at Bromwell that knows our Bears so well, to come in so STEAM will still be offered each week.
The CSC is starting budget planning for the 24/25 school year. Much of that depends on kids returning to Bromwell next year. Please complete THIS form no later than 2/1.
Grab your bikes and join Nurse Brooke at the MLK Marade Legacy Bike Ride on 1/15 at 2pm, starting in Civic Center Park and then ride to the MLK statue in City Park. Click HERE for more information!

Mr. Edwards would like to share some exciting news!
Does your child come home wishing they had more PE??? I am excited to announce I will be offering a few enrichment classes here at Bromwell, starting in February and running through the end of the year. I may consider offering a summer program as well, depending on schedule and interest. The goal of this time will be to have fun with friends and develop skills across athletic disciplines. I will be providing this opportunity separate from my role as a DPS teacher, through my company Play On Sports Crew. I am planning on classes being at Bromwell but open to any students in the community. I am finalizing the details and wanted to send out an interest form to help determine age ranges and dates. Any feedback is appreciated and I will send out more information when I can.
Please fill out this form if you are interested Play On Sports Crew
Or if you have any questions please email me at playonsportscrew@gmail.com
BESS Universal Social Emotional Screening
Bromwell students will be completing the Behavioral and Emotional Screening System (BESS) Student Self-Report Form this month. In order to better understand your students’ needs, this year we are using the teacher form in addition to the student form. We are also asking families to complete the caregiver form for their student(s). The caregiver screening window is open until January 19th. The instructions for completing the caregiver form are linked below. Email john_gallagher@dpsk12.net with questions. We appreciate your assistance as we work together to educate and support your student(s)!

Books are fun! And our Bears love Library time, so help us keep it going and help in the library! We especially need help for 2nd grade slots. HERE is the sign up. Questions? Email Karen Calle @ volunteers@bromwellpta.org
Remember Amazon Prime where part of your purchase came back to Bromwell’s PTA? We know that’s a thing of the past (thanks, Jeff Bezos), but there’s a much bigger and more expansive program that we participate in called GiveBacks. It’s super easy and quick to register for and applies to 1,000’s of online spots. Just click here to register and get started!
Have you been to Chook Chicken yet? We love it and are so excited for our upcoming dine-out on 1/29 and 1/30. See flyer attached. Give us all of the roasted chicken, mac n cheese, AND salted rolls, please (yes, they have delicious vegetables too)!
