Hola from the Art Room, this is Miss M. and we are so excited to explore new and familiar cultures during National Hispanic Heritage Month! We will be creating art in response to our learning and inspired by some traditional forms of Hispanic Art. We look forward to sharing our amazing work on display around the building through November.
As always, please reach out if you would like to volunteer in the classroom, prepping student art for display, or displaying student artwork around the building.

Social Emotional Learning – SEL at Bromwell
Hey everyone Mr. Tay again! This week we started lessons on self-regulation or self-control and how to manage our emotions and behaviors throughout the day. We have begun building our toolboxes so that we have resources to use when we feel ourselves heading into the blue, yellow, or red zones. This also requires us to know ourselves well enough to communicate our needs to others and advocate when we need to access a specific tool. This is one of those skills that take a lifetime to build, so I’ll also talk about how safe adults, parents, guardians, etc., are here to help us reflect on how we feel when the words are out of reach. Looking for something to do during your lunch break? Come volunteer during our lunch/recess times! When you arrive, check in at the front office, grab an orange vest, and then make the rounds in the lunchroom to help kids open things, stay focused on eating (save the sillies for outside!). Outside, you might get asked to push a kid on a swing, referee a game, or have an existential conversation. Here are the times:

September 5th, 4pm – CSC Meeting: The meeting will be both in the school and via Google Meets. Here is the agenda.
September 8th – Campus Clean Up! 10am-1pm: Please come help us as we clean up the grounds, weed the garden, sweep up rocks… help Bromwell shine and give the Bears pride in their school!
Coffee and pastries will be generously donated by 3rd Avenue Starbucks.
September 11th, 8am – Monthly PTA Meeting: Join us in person in the cafeteria or virtually via Google Meets
September 11th – Staff Appreciation Breakfast: Please sign up to bring something for staff and the PTA will take a cart around to deliver to staff!
September 13th, 7:15-7:40am – Donuts with Grown Ups: Our PTA is hosting this community event to help kick off our Fall fundraiser, Let’s Build Bromwell! Join us to connect with other families and learn more about how the PTA gives back to the school.

This year, our Specials Team (Mrs. M, Mr. Edwards and Ms. Horton) will be taking our Bears to the library each week! The school is excited to provide consistent access to the library for all students. Parents are still welcome to stop by to help kids find books.

The Colorado Rockies are hosting a fundraising opportunity for games THIS WEEKEND 9/12-14!

Family Photo Session Fundraiser in Little Cheesman 9/20 (4-6pm) & 9/21 (8:30-11:30am)!
Doug Wells Photography is supporting Bromwell by offering 15 minute mini sessions, and the $50 sitting fee comes directly back to Bromwell! You can then purchase prints or access to the whole gallery through Doug Wells. You can sign up and pay HERE.
The Man Party!
Thank you to everyone that purchased Man Party tickets from our 2024 Party & Auction! We were lucky to meet our goal, and would like to include members from the community if you’re able to join at the event on 10/5.
Want to enjoy some smoked meats and meet some fellow Bromwell parents? This is for you! Don’t let the name fool you, The Man Party is only hosted by men, women are also invited!
