Morning Discovery Link Update

We regret to inform you that due to low daily attendance, the Morning Discovery Link program at BROMWELL will end effective Monday, November 27th. But there is good news! We’ll be offering the ELCS Enrichment program in its place, ensuring continued morning care for your school community. Here’s the information you’ll need to know about the new program:

  • What is ELCS Enrichment? Daily, UNLICENSED, single-subject programming.
  • When will ELCS Enrichment run? Every school day, from 6:30 a.m. until the morning bell.
  • Who will run ELCS Enrichment? One ELCS Enrichment Instructor will be present daily.
  • How will I select days? You will use a family-managed calendar similar to that of the Discovery Link program. However, daily enrollment must be completed by 12 p.m., the day before you send your student.
  • How much will ELCS Enrichment cost? Fees were calculated based on the morning Discovery Link program’s average daily attendance. The daily tuition for Bromwell will be $11.00.
    • Please Note: ELCS Enrichment is not licensed child care and isn’t eligible for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP). However, for the rest of the year, we will provide a 40% discount to families previously enrolled in CCCAP and participating in the morning Discovery Link program.

Please look for additional information on how to select days in November. Meanwhile, if you have questions, please email us at discovery_link@dpsk12.org.

October is upon us! And so is our October Teacher Appreciation effort. Please sign up here and share some love. Our Staff appreciates it so very much.

Did you know that every year our PTA contributes hundreds of thousands of dollars to Bromwell’s budget? This school year it’s $200,000!!! It makes a big difference in the lives of our students, and we look forward to making that happen again this year, starting with our All in for Bromwell Annual Fund. This year the campaign runs from 10/23-11/17, so be on the lookout for more information in your student’s back and forth folder this Friday, and in emails from your teachers, room parents, and the Bromwell PTA in the coming weeks. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 AND have 100% participation. We can’t wait to see our families jump All In for Bromwell!

Where should my student go to Middle School? What happens after Bromwell? Well, PTA wants to help with that question and is hosting our annual Middle School Information Night on Thursday, November 2nd from 5:30-7PM at Bromwell. Representatives from many of the areas public and private Middle Schools will be on hand to share information and answer any questions you might have in an open house format. All grade levels are welcome to attend, especially those in 4th and 5th grades. We hope to see you there!

Take a break from cooking and join fellow Bromwell Families for a dine out to give back to Bromwell next Tuesday, 10/24, all day at Mici’s Italian on Colorado Blvd and 7th Ave! Good for all order types, just order online and use code: SCHOOL. Thanks for the support, Mici!

Wondering what’s coming up on our social calendar? Check out the attachment. And thanks to everyone who joined us for movie night AND grabbed Shake Shack for dinner- we made $443 that night!

Library at Bromwell is OPEN! Thanks to everyone who has stepped up to help, but we could use some more coverage for all shifts. Please, Sign up here!
