Values: In the Art Studio I’m focusing on imagination. We are studying a variety of artists to keep kids’ inspired and imaginative. I’m excited to be introducing new contemporary artists to the curriculum while honoring Monet and others currently on view at the Denver Art Museum. Exploring a variety of media in the art room from drawing, painting, clay, sculpture, to printmaking, is important to stretch students’ imagination and view of what art is, and how they view themselves as artists.
Bio: I’m in my 12th year teaching, and I’ve taught at a private school, a charter school and I’m happy to be home here at Bromwell. I went to UC Davis and studied Studio Art and Political Science with the Artist and professor Wayne Thiebaud. I moved here from California and we have 3 children and a dog and a cat. I enjoy my role as a Bromwell Specials Teacher and a Bromwell Parent and PTA member.
Hobbies: I love visiting museums, painting, reading and anything creative. I also love hiking and enjoying nature with my family.
